WEBSITE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

REGISTRATION:

  • Should you wish to make a booking at the Urban Beauty Lounge, you are first required register your details including credit card/debit card details for payment purposes on our online portal.  Registration constitutes your acceptance and agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions of our website.
  • Payment can be made via debit or credit card (VISA or MasterCard), which shall be facilitated by Payfast which is a secured payment gateway
  • Once you have registered online with your necessary required personal details, your details will be secured stored by Payfast. The information you provide to Payfast is strictly private and confidential. Urban Beauty Lounge has no access to this information.   The security policy and security certificate of Payfast can be viewed at www.payfast.co.za
  • You acknowledge that for your own security, you will not provide your credit/debit card details to any third party when registering on our online portal. Should you do so, this will be done at your own risk and you indemnify the Urban Beauty Lounge from any losses occasioned thereby.

AUTOMATIC ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION AND CANCELLATION THEREOF

  • By registering your details on the website, you agree to an ongoing subscription which automatically renews on an annual basis at a cost of R5.00 per annum. You are able to at your own discretion cancel such subscription, which must be done via logging in to your account dashboard and clicking the cancel button beside the relative subscription. You can log in and access your account dashboard at the following URL: https://theurbanbeautylounge.co.za/shop/my-account/. Failing to unsubscribe will keep the subscription active and the subscription will be renewed automatically at the cost set out above.
  • Cancelling your subscription to the UBL website only deregisters your details from PayFast but does not exempt you of any payments still owing to UBL, such as outstanding cancellation fees or any other payments due. Any outstanding amounts are still payable in full.
  • The Urban Beauty Lounge reserves the right to cancel your subscription without prior notice.

PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • By registering your details on the website, you agree for your credit/debit card to be debited with the amount equivalent to the cost of your scheduled appointment. Payment for your scheduled appointment will be processed within two business days after your appointment, unless you settle directly with the Urban Beauty Lounge in the salon on the day of your treatment.
  • Bookings / appointments may be cancelled at no cost within 24 hours’ notice.
  • Should you fail to cancel your booking within a minimum of 24 hours’ notice and should you fail to attend your scheduled appointment, you will be charged 50% cancellation fee, being 50% of the cost of your scheduled appointment. This 50% cancellation fee will be automatically deducted from your credit/debit card and will be processed within 2 business days of your scheduled appointment.
  • Should your transaction decline on the credit/debit card details of which you provided, you will remain liable for such amounts and the Urban Beauty Lounge reserves the right to institute legal action to recover any such outstanding amounts due by you. Furthermore, you will be liable to pay any legal costs and collection commission incurred by the Urban Beauty Lounge on a scale as between an attorney and his own client, arising in any way from or occasioned by your default and/or breach of these terms and conditions.

GENERAL:

  • This Agreement and any matter arising therefrom shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of South Africa. You hereby consent and submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Magistrates Court in respect of any litigation arising from or in connection with this Agreement.
  • You indemnify the Urban Beauty Lounge and its directors, employees, assignees and/or agents from and against any and all liabilities, costs, demands, causes of action, damages and expenses (including legal costs) howsoever arising out of or in any way related to your breach of any of the provisions of these Terms and conditions.
  • Access to the website may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons, which may be beyond our reasonable control. The Urban Beauty Lounge disclaims all liability for any malfunction, suspension or interruption of the website, including inaccessibility due to network problems.
  • No Amendment or variation of these terms and conditions will be binding unless it is recorded in writing.
  • If any provision of these terms and conditions are found to be unenforceable or invalid under any applicable law, such unenforceability or invalidity shall not render these terms and conditions unenforceable or invalid as a whole, and such provisions shall be deleted without affecting the remaining provisions herein.
  • The Urban Beauty Lounge may vary the terms of these terms and conditions and any updated versions thereof may be sent to you from time to time as and when our policies and procedures change and when any external factors, such as legislation requires.
