Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

  • Company” (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Disclaimer) refers to CK Beauty and Cosmetics known as The Urban Beauty Lounge, Registration Number 2017/434914/07. We will refer to the Company as The Urban Beauty Lounge.
  • Goods” or “Products” refers to the items offered for sale on the Service.
  • Orders” means a request by You to purchase Goods from Us.
  • Service” refers to the Website.
  • Website” refers to The Urban Beauty Lounge, accessible from theurbanbeautylounge.co.za
  • You” means the individual accessing the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Thank you for visiting and shopping at The Urban Beauty Lounge. The following terms and conditions constitute our Shipping Policy.

Domestic Shipping Policy

We deliver Nationwide within the borders of South Africa. Different Shipping rates apply depending on where you are.

Shipment processing times

All Orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Orders will only be shipped once payment has cleared in our bank account. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or public holidays. To allow processing time, orders will be delivered within 5-7 business days excluding weekends and public holidays.

If We are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your Order, We will contact You via email or telephone.

Shipping rates & delivery estimates

Shipping charges for Your Orders will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

  • Shipping method: Courier Guy – Economy
    Shipment cost: Free for Orders R1200 and above Nationwide
    Estimated delivery time: 3-5 business days
  • Shipping method: Courier Guy – Economy
    Flat Rate : R120 Nationwide
    Estimated delivery time: 3-5 business days
  • Local Pick Up. Collection at: The Urban Beauty Lounge, Wembley Square, Solan Street, Gardens, Cape Town,8001

Overnight or Same day delivery cannot be guaranteed and is only available for Orders with delivery addresses within South Africa. Overnight or Same day delivery will incur additional costs.

Delivery delays can occasionally occur.
Shipping rates subject to periodic review and change without notice.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation Email or SMS once Your Order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The service provider may make two attempts to deliver Your order, successfully.
You can track your parcel on The Courier Guy services portal following the order tracking link provided in the email confirmation. Should delivery fail after the second attempt, Your order will be returned. To have the order delivered again will be at Your own cost.

Customs, Duties and Taxes

We do not deliver outside the borders of South Africa, therefore the above do not apply.

Damages

The Urban Beauty Lounge will not be liable for any damages if Your order was not checked and inspected immediately on delivery and signature/acceptance of proof of delivery. We expect products to be delivered in good condition.

If You received Your Order damaged, or the parcel is damaged, please return immediately upon delivery.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods when returning the damaged products.

Cancellation of Orders

Unfortunately, once you placed the order, We are unable to amend the order, the order cannot be changed.
Should you no longer want to receive the order, You may send a refund request immediately. Please send an email with Your order number to orders@theurbanbeautylounge.co.za

Returning an item?

We are 100% sure of the quality of our products. Our products are personal care items and due to the sensitivity of the products, and safety of our clients, we do not accept returns on any correctly supplied products.

If You receive an incorrect order or the products is not what you ordered, we will gladly exchange and send you the correct products within the next 5-10 business days free of charge to You, on the below conditions:
• The incorrect products have been returned, unopened, with seal intact and in its original packaging and inspected at our premises
• Notification of returns must be logged immediately upon receipt or latest within 3 business days by emailing Your order number and details to orders@theurbanbeautylounge.co.za.
• Products must be returned unopened, with seal intact and its original packaging for inspection at our premises before we process exchanges
• Once the returned item has been received and inspected at our premises, and You do not want an exchange and wish to cancel the order, it can take up to 5 to 7 business days for the refund to reflect in your account.

Delivery delays in unforeseen circumstances

We will always do our best to deliver Your products in the shortest time possible. However, We cannot be held responsible for delays due to strikes, civil unrest, natural disaster or any other matter outside our control. We will contact You via email or telephone to notify You of any significant shipment delays.
